ACM Handbell Festival 2011

13 Mar

Last Saturday I had the opportunity to photograph the ACM Annual Hand bell Festival. It was definitely a learning experience that I was thrilled to have. One of the main challenges was the layout- everyone standing behind tables in lines. I’m used to photographing people who are being quite still or who are thrashing about in a band. This was a scenario with many people standing still except for their arms. One great advantage was that there were so many people who loved to play hand bells present. I saw so many faces that were filled with so much joy and so many hands that were full of skill.

Thanks! It’s nerve-wracking, because I took over 1000 photos and then I have to narrow it down to something manageable.
